F&B Accountant – Procurement, Inventory & P&L (Must be in Dubai)

About This Role

About the Role:

We are seeking an F&B Accountant to own the full financial cycle of our multi-brand restaurant group based in Dubai. This role sits at the intersection of accounting, procurement, and operations — covering bookkeeping, supplier management, inventory control, and complete P&L ownership across multiple restaurant concepts.

This is not a back-office role. You'll work side-by-side with chefs, managers, and ownership.

Important: Candidates must already be based in Dubai. We are not sponsoring relocation from outside the UAE for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting

• Manage daily bookkeeping across multiple restaurant entities.
• Bank reconciliations, payment processing, and supplier payments.
• VAT compliance and filing (UAE FTA).
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audit season.

Procurement

• Manage the full purchase order cycle — from request to receipt.
• Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate better terms.
• Track price fluctuations on key ingredients.
• Ensure 3-quote policy compliance on major purchases.
• Build and maintain an approved supplier database.

Inventory

• Oversee weekly and monthly stock counts across all locations.
• Reconcile theoretical vs. actual stock and investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate ingredient costing in the POS system.
• Partner with chefs on recipe costing and menu engineering.

P&L Management

• Build and maintain weekly and monthly P&Ls per brand.
• Track food cost %, beverage cost %, prime cost, and labor cost.
• Identify margin leaks and report them with actionable insights.
• Prepare variance analysis (budget vs. actual).
• Support ownership with ad-hoc financial reports.

Requirements:

• Experience: F&B or restaurant industry accounting experience required. Mindset and technical knowledge prioritized over years of experience.
• Accounting Knowledge: Full bookkeeping cycle, UAE VAT compliance, monthly closing.
• F&B Specifics: Recipe costing, food cost %, prime cost, inventory variance analysis.
• Software: Experience with restaurant POS systems (Foodics, Odoo, Syrve, or similar). Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Languages: Fluent English required. Arabic preferred.
• Profile: Hands-on, detail-oriented, proactive — comfortable walking into the kitchen for stock counts.
• Availability: Must be ready to join immediately.
• Location: Must already be based in Dubai. UAE residency required.
