Role Overview
Support the expediting of items that restrict shipment of approved commitments on high-value customer orders and special customer accounts.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve parts, availability, and delivery issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Review weekly reports to expedite items restricting shipment of approved commitments.
- Identify problem parts from standard expedite reports and resolve issues by working directly with suppliers.
- Communicate with supplier contacts to obtain product information, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Enter approved purchase orders with suppliers and obtain delivery acknowledgements.
- Use purchase order acknowledgements, back-order reports, and factory systems to maintain accurate factory delivery dates in UV.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with internal teams and external customers.
Requirements
- Experience in customer support, supplier interactions, or similar work is required.
- Strong alphanumeric data entry skills with good quality are required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask are required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- A strong teamwork orientation is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
