Responsibilities
- Refer guest calls, requests, and issues to the appropriate departments when needed.
- Use sales techniques to increase revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty; provide selected guest thank-you gifts.
- Promote brand awareness and process Marriott Rewards point redemptions.
- Process room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email.
- Enter Marriott Rewards information in the appropriate software while taking reservations.
- Receive, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Perform general office tasks supporting Sales and Marketing, including filing, email, transcription, and faxing.
- Assist management with employee training and motivation and serve as a role model.
- Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company property, and meet guest-service standards.
- Communicate professionally, prepare accurate documents, handle telephone calls appropriately, and maintain positive working relationships.
Desirable qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
- At least 2 years of related work experience is desirable.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is required.
