Key Responsibilities
- Identify technical and commercial bid submission requirements and prepare compliant bids.
- Send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors to obtain timely quotations.
- Conduct site visits when required to assess costs and understand the work program.
- Prepare requests for information for clients or consultants to clarify discrepancies.
- Identify material and subcontract requirements by reviewing BOQs, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Coordinate draftsmen performing quantity takeoffs to cross-check BOQ quantities and schedules.
- Prepare basic cost estimates for smaller or less complex projects under supervision.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Estimator or Estimation Manager.
- Prepare material takeoffs for assigned contract, project, or program segments.
- Assist with detailed work breakdown structures for contracts, projects, and program elements.
- Prepare and summarize estimates using labor, material, equipment, productivity, and efficiency rates.
- Accumulate and organize historical cost data in company-standard databases for future estimates.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- At least two years of experience in the UAE is required.
- The candidate must be willing to relocate to Ajman.
Work Location
- The work location is in person in Ajman, United Arab Emirates.
