Role overview
Prepare quotations and cost estimates for fire-alarm, fire-fighting, and fire-safety maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations for fire-safety maintenance and repair work, including fire alarms, fire-fighting systems, fire pumps, and fire extinguishers.
- Review maintenance and site-inspection reports, client requirements, and service reports; identify required rectification work.
- Estimate costs for preventive and corrective maintenance, including manpower, materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with technicians and engineers for technical information.
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations; follow up for material and spare-parts prices.
- Prepare BOQs and detailed commercial offers; ensure quotations are accurate and submitted on time.
- Maintain records of previous quotations, prices, and maintenance costs.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an estimator in fire-safety or fire-protection maintenance.
- Good knowledge of fire alarms, fire-fighting systems, fire pumps, and fire extinguishers.
- Experience preparing maintenance and repair quotations.
