To manage, support, and optimize the ERP Finance & Controlling (FICO) functions for the steel manufacturing business.
The role is responsible for ensuring smooth ERP operations, process standardization, financial system integration, user support, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement of finance-related ERP modules aligned with steel industry operations.

Treasury & Cash Management Support
- Support ERP Treasury and Cash Management processes including:
- Bank Accounting
• Cash Flow Forecasting
- Bank Reconciliation
- Payment Processing and Approval Workflows
- Liquidity Planning
- Letter of Credit (LC) Monitoring
• Bank Guarantee Tracking
- Coordinate with Finance and Treasury teams to support cash management and banking operations within the ERP system.
- Assist in the implementation, testing, and support of Treasury Management solutions and integrations with banking platforms.
- Monitor treasury-related master data including bank accounts, payment methods, house banks, and banking interfaces.
- Support treasury reporting requirements including cash flow, liquidity, borrowing, and working capital analysis.
- Participate in treasury process improvement initiatives and automation of banking and payment processes.
- Provide functional support for ERP FICO modules including:
• Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
- Product Costing
- Internal Orders
• Budgeting & Financial Reporting
- Analyze and resolve ERP functional issues raised by finance and business users.
- Coordinate with technical teams for bug fixing, enhancements, interfaces, and developments.
- Ensure smooth month-end and year-end financial closing activities in ERP.
Steel Industry Process Integration
- Support integration between FICO and Treasury
• Quality Management (QM)
- Monitor costing flows for:
- Raw materials
- Billets
- Rolling mills
- Finished steel products
- Scrap accounting
- Energy and utility cost allocation
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and production cost accounting.
Business Process Improvement
- Study existing finance and costing processes and recommend ERP-driven improvements.
- Configure and optimize ERP settings based on operational requirements.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Participate in ERP upgrades, rollout projects, testing, and implementation activities.
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate MIS reports, financial reports, and cost analysis reports.
- Support audit requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure proper authorization controls and data integrity within ERP.
User Training & Coordination
- Conduct user training sessions for finance and operational teams.
- Prepare user manuals and training materials.
- Coordinate with external ERP consultants/vendors when required.
- Act as key liaison between finance, operations, and IT teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- ERP issue resolution turnaround time
- Accuracy of financial and costing reports
- System uptime and support efficiency
- Successful month-end closing within timelines
- User satisfaction level
- Reduction in manual processes
- Compliance and audit observations closure
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
- ERP certification in SAP FICO or equivalent ERP system is preferred.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in ERP functional support with at least 4 years in steel/cement/ heavy manufacturing industries.
