Environmental Manager role focused on implementing the Construction Environmental Management Plan and overseeing environmental permitting.
The role supports compliant construction project operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan across the project site.
- Coordinate, secure, and maintain environmental permits and clearances from regulatory authorities.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and environmental audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and regulatory bodies on environmental matters.
- Halt construction activities that pose immediate threats of environmental non-compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience.
- Strong background in Environmental Management and Sustainability.
- Direct experience implementing a Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
- Proven capability managing environmental permitting requirements.
- Ability to conduct environmental audits and risk assessments.
Contract duration
- Contract duration is 12 months.
Work location
- Work is in person.
