Architecture and modernization
- Define infrastructure roadmaps for modernization, cloud adoption and hybrid or multi-cloud transformation; align architecture to business objectives.
- Establish and enforce architecture governance, standards, frameworks and best practices.
- Architect data-center modernization across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, automation and security.
- Lead transition from legacy infrastructure to hyper-converged, software-defined and cloud-integrated platforms.
- Oversee capacity planning, workload assessment, migration planning and modernization blueprints.
Cloud and infrastructure delivery
- Design enterprise solutions across Azure, AWS, GCP and private clouds; define landing zones, networking, IAM, security, governance and operating standards.
- Drive cloud-native infrastructure, container platforms, Kubernetes and automation adoption.
- Design compute, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery and security across on-premises, colocation, cloud and edge environments.
- Define standards for high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity and performance optimization.
Leadership and stakeholders
- Advise CIO, CTO and senior leaders on modernization, infrastructure transformation and cloud strategy.
- Lead cross-functional transformation teams; conduct assessments, develop solution designs and guide implementation teams.
- Collaborate with business leaders, delivery teams and vendors; present architecture recommendations, roadmaps and investment proposals.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to architects, engineers and project teams.
Required qualifications
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, infrastructure architecture, data-center environments and cloud transformation.
- Proven experience in data-center modernization programs and hands-on multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture across Azure, AWS and GCP.
- Strong experience with SDN, SDS and HCI; knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V and KVM.
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible infrastructure automation and Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift container platforms.
- Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, security frameworks, IAM, compliance and infrastructure governance.
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, backup strategies and business continuity planning.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Preferred certifications
- TOGAF; AWS Certified Solutions Architect; Microsoft Azure Architect certifications.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD; VMware certifications such as VCP or VCDX.
