Engineering operations and budgets

• Manage building, grounds, physical plant, equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
• Manage budgets, capital expenditure, preventive maintenance, energy conservation, safety, security, asset protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop service contract specifications; administer contracts and monitor maintenance and repair work orders.
• Direct maintenance across guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, grounds, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
• Create long-term preventive maintenance and asset protection plans; develop renovation and construction plans and supervise contractors within schedule and budget.
• Manage vendors, equipment and supply inventory, inspections, repairs, furnishings, and replacements.

Property standards and guest service

• Maintain building and equipment licenses and certifications and property life safety systems, including firefighting equipment, sprinklers, and alarms.
• Ensure fire crews understand procedures, equipment, and alarms; lead emergency response for facility issues.
• Review guest feedback and satisfaction data, communicate improvement plans, and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide leadership in guest hospitality and work to improve service performance.

Education and experience

• Pathway 1: High school diploma or GED, 3 years of related engineering and maintenance experience, and technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing.
• Pathway 2: 2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year of related experience; and technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing.
