Engineer, Projects (Supply Chain)

Role purpose

Planning, budgeting, and compliance

• Ensure projects follow ADNOC and regulatory authority guidelines.
• Prepare and control capital budgets for new projects and facilities to be replaced, considering facility condition and depreciated value.
• Prepare new-project requirements and review scopes of work submitted by consultants and engineering teams.
• Review contractor and consultant designs, technical specifications, and costs.
• Ensure product integrity, HSE, process safety, and operability requirements are met.
• Advise supply operations managers on scope changes, additional work, and contractor claims.
• Prepare scopes and specifications, technically evaluate tenders, and assess potential equipment enhancements.
• Ensure equipment design and control procedures meet ADNOC Distribution standards.

Progress, tendering, and procurement

• Hold weekly site meetings with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to review progress and technical issues.
• Arrange comprehensive inspections of new terminals, facilities, and equipment for quality and integrity.
• Report project performance against targets and prepare weekly progress and monthly status reports.
• Develop investment case studies and forecast cost studies for management.
• Support bidder pre-qualification, pre-bid site visits, clarifications, and technical evaluations with engineering teams and consultants.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Contracts on purchase and contract requisitions for budget-approved machinery.

Client satisfaction and handover

• Address issues throughout the project lifecycle to support successful completion.
• Ensure internal client satisfaction with deliverables and advise management on compilation dates.
• Manage handover to the Operations department.
• Develop commissioning procedures with Operations, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate stakeholders to support seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and experience

• Science or engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or another relevant field.
• 6–8 years of experience in supply operations, maintenance, and projects.
