Role overview

Duties

• Review and approve contractor materials, methods, and submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
• Prepare the Materials Engineer’s daily diary and reports on contractual and procedural matters.
• Oversee contractor daily activities, work assignments, site performance, and operations.
• Attend factory visits and supplier plant inspections; follow up on authority testing and approvals.
• Review testing requests and completed reports; monitor material deliveries and materials used on site.
• Coordinate schedules, work sequence, and methods with contractor supervisors and monitor schedule compliance.
• Conduct ongoing field inspections and consult with Resident Engineer and contractor supervisory staff.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant BSc degree from a recognized university.
• Dubai Central Laboratory approval is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in design, construction, and supervision of roads, bridges, and infrastructure.
• Full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in Dubai.
• Extensive quality inspection experience and hands-on experience with ISO 9000 quality systems.

Work location

• The project is located in Dubai and involves on-site and field inspections.
