Role overview

Facilities service and contracts

• Lead facilities service providers delivering corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, capital projects, operations, subcontracting, project assistance, and spares management.
• Manage contracted services and maintain contractual KPIs and SLAs across the designated geographical area or circles.
• Manage contracts and contractors for electromechanical systems, UPS, DC systems, security, waste, cleaning, alarms, CCTV, HVAC, electricity, gas, and related services.

Engineering and improvement work

• Lead and mentor automation engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to set automation priorities and strategies.
• Provide technical input to management-of-change processes and develop process safety information.
• Recommend building-system energy improvements, modernization, equipment replacements, and upgrades.
• Help develop budgets and plans and identify ways to improve facilities efficiency and reduce costs.
• Supervise planned and breakdown electrical maintenance and ensure repair work meets company specifications and regulations.
• Maintain adequate maintenance supplies and spare parts and initiate replenishment requisitions.

Coordination and delivery

• Coordinate O&M information between the line manager, FLM partners, and building management.
• Work with operations, engineering, IT, and project-management teams to develop and implement automation projects.
• Identify process improvements and standardization opportunities to increase productivity and reduce errors.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical works execution for infrastructure supporting telecommunications networks.
• Knowledge of UAE rules and requirements for No Objection Certification processes.

Technical knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of electromechanical and related civil works systems, active telecom networks, and the EM part supporting the works.
• Knowledge of GPS site-surveying instruments, GIS systems, and the Network Engineer application.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and of MS Project.
• English conversation, reading, and writing skills; strong written and verbal communication.
• The role requires coordination, prioritization, analytical thinking, quality focus, teamwork, project management, problem solving, and decision making.
