Full-time, remote role designing, prototyping, and testing embedded hardware for AI- and IoT-driven products.
Works with cross-functional product teams on hardware foundations for AI, commerce, and digital infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop firmware and integrate sensors and actuators.
- Configure platforms such as Raspberry Pi and collaborate with software teams on hardware-to-cloud communication.
- Create proof-of-concept devices, optimize performance and reliability, and support product scaling.
- Document designs and test results.
Qualifications and experience
- Strong IoT skills, including device integration, connectivity, and sensor-based system design.
- Programming and software-development skills for embedded and IoT systems; experience with Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computers.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in firmware development, hardware debugging, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
- Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT, or HTTP and cloud or edge integration.
- Ability to work independently remotely, collaborate with distributed teams, and document clearly.
- Familiarity with version control, prototyping tools, and agile product development.
- Inductive Output Tube or related high-power RF knowledge is a plus.
