The Chief AI Officer leads AI vision, strategy, and execution across 808Labs products and ventures.
This is a full-time, on-site role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Responsibilities
- Oversee AI research and development, guide architecture and model selection, and ensure responsible deployment.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and venture teams to identify use cases, prioritize initiatives, and drive implementation.
- Build and mentor AI and data teams; establish experimentation, evaluation, ethical AI, and data governance standards.
- Represent the company in technical and industry forums, evaluate partnerships, and track AI and machine-learning trends.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated AI and machine-learning expertise, including hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks, model design, and production deployment.
- Strong background in data science, analytics, and data engineering; able to define data strategies for AI initiatives.
- Proven experience building and managing technical teams, with mentoring, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Understanding of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and scalable system design in AI-driven products.
- Experience defining and implementing AI strategy in a product-focused environment.
- Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy, and regulatory considerations; commitment to ethical and inclusive technology.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into actionable plans for varied audiences.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Startup or venture-building experience and familiarity with commercializing AI technologies are highly beneficial.
