Role overview

Responsibilities

• Install wiring, conduits, cables, cable trays, trunking, and containment systems.
• Install and connect lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, isolators, distribution boards, and other accessories.
• Complete first-fix and second-fix work; install power and lighting systems to approved drawings.
• Read electrical drawings and layouts; pull, terminate, dress, and identify cables.
• Install systems in kitchens, offices, retail units, hotels, apartments, and other interior spaces; coordinate with other trades.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits and equipment, including continuity, insulation resistance, and polarity tests.
• Identify and rectify electrical defects; maintain quality and complete snagging, rectification, and final testing before handover.
• Follow method statements, risk assessments, specifications, and HSE procedures; use PPE and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Maintain tools and equipment, coordinate with supervisors and site engineers, report material needs and site issues, and work to project schedules.

Requirements

• Proven electrician experience in the fit-out or construction industry.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, drawings, wiring, lighting, power, containment, and cable termination.
• Knowledge of electrical testing, troubleshooting, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; physically able to work on construction and fit-out sites.
• A relevant electrical trade qualification or certification is preferred.

Preferred experience

• Commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, hotel, or office fit-out experience is preferred.
• First-fix and second-fix experience and coordination with MEP and interior trades are preferred.
• Knowledge of local electrical standards and project requirements is preferred.
• UAE or GCC fit-out experience is advantageous.

Pay

• Pay is stated as AED 990.48–AED 5,243.08 per month.
