Role Overview
We are looking for skilled Electrical Technicians to join an offshore team in Qatar for an EPC campaign within LNG facilities . The role focuses on electrical maintenance, installation support, and commissioning activities in a high-spec LNG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems
- Work on generators, motors, transformers, switchgear, and control systems
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems in LNG facilities
- Conduct testing, calibration, and fault-finding activities
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and hazardous area requirements
- Support offshore campaign and shutdown activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of offshore oil & gas experience, preferably in EPC LNG projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in LNG or gas processing environments
- Experience in commissioning and energization activities
- Familiarity with offshore safety and permit-to-work systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in LNG plants (liquefaction, regasification, or gas processing)
- Offshore certifications (BOSIET, H2S, etc.)
- Knowledge of hazardous area equipment (ATEX/IECEx)
