Assess existing electrical, fire alarm, and HVAC systems and prepare technical reports recommending repair, replacement, or improvement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections and condition assessments of electrical, fire alarm, and HVAC systems.
- Evaluate performance, safety, efficiency, and compliance; identify defects, deterioration, and maintenance or replacement needs.
- Review MEP drawings, fire alarm layouts, testing records, and maintenance documents.
- Prepare detailed condition assessment reports with findings and recommendations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and maintenance teams; support compliance with UAE regulations, codes, and standards.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, scopes of work, and cost estimates for remedial works.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in MEP inspections, testing, condition assessments, or building services engineering.
- Good knowledge of LV systems, distribution boards, MCCs, emergency lighting, fire alarms, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, and related MEP installations.
- Experience identifying defects, assessing equipment condition, and preparing technical reports.
- Good communication, documentation, and site coordination skills.
Preferred knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, DEWA, and Civil Defence requirements is preferred.
- UAE experience and immediate availability are advantages.
