Role overview
Plan, supervise, and support installation, maintenance, and operation of LV/MV electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with Kahramaa regulations, QCS, and international standards; provide technical leadership to the electrical maintenance team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and supervise on-site electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Review drawings, single-line diagrams, load schedules, BOQs, and technical submittals; prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Lead root-cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate approvals, inspections, and shutdowns with Kahramaa, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Manage PPM schedules, spare-parts planning, and maintenance KPIs for transformers, switchgear, DBs, UPS, generators, and lighting.
- Supervise and mentor technicians; enforce permit-to-work, LOTO, and HSE compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, as-built documentation, and maintenance records.
Qualifications and experience
- Attested Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building services, MEP contracting, or facilities management; GCC experience preferred.
- UPDA/MMUP registration or eligibility to obtain it is highly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Kahramaa regulations, QCS, IEC/BS/NFPA standards, and electrical safety practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and CMMS/ERP-based maintenance systems.
- Strong communication, planning, and team leadership skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, on-call rotation, and outdoors where required.
- Good spoken and written English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to HSE practices.
- Immediate joining requested; preference for candidates in Qatar with a transferable visa or NOC.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 4,000–4,500 per month.
