The Electrical Design Engineer role focuses on LV switchgear and panel design.
Responsibilities
- Design LV switchgear and panels, including MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, and control panels.
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings for manufacturing.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC standards.
- Review and approve electrical component design specifications.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve design queries and update documents based on production or quality-control feedback.
- Support technical submittals for review and maintain records of design revisions and approvals.
Requirements and experience
- Design engineer experience at an LV switchgear manufacturer or panel builder.
- Hands-on LV switchgear and panel design across MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, and control panels.
- Strong AutoCAD and electrical design software skills for detailed drawings and shop drawings.
- Working knowledge of IEC standards for electrical design compliance.
- Ability to verify busbar configurations, wiring layouts, and component specifications.
- 3–7 years of experience.
Workplace and contract
- On site at the factory in Doha, Qatar, in the Industrial Area; this is not an office role.
- Contract duration is 2 years, renewable.
