Lead and supervise an EV service and technical team, overseeing diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, team performance, workshop productivity, and compliance with safety and manufacturer standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead technicians and coordinate daily workshop operations, job allocation, workflow, and timely completion of work.
- Oversee EV diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical inspections.
- Support diagnosis of high-voltage batteries, motors, inverters, charging systems, DC-DC converters, and vehicle control systems within authorized procedures.
- Ensure high-voltage safety, isolation, lockout/tagout, and safe work practices.
- Coach technicians and coordinate with service, parts, warranty, and workshop colleagues.
- Monitor productivity, quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction; maintain job cards, reports, and repair records.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment appropriately, escalate complex issues, and follow company, HSE, regulatory, and manufacturer requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 3–5 years of automotive technical experience; EV servicing and repair experience is preferred.
- Previous technical team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of EV powertrain, high-voltage systems, battery management, charging systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Experience with OEM diagnostic software and automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures and relevant EV safety training or certification.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced workshop.
Preferred skills
- EV manufacturer or OEM technical training is preferred.
- Experience with EV warranty procedures and technical campaigns is preferred.
- Knowledge of workshop KPIs, productivity, and quality control is preferred.
- Leadership, mentoring, and team development skills are preferred.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 10,000 per month.
