Automotive Upholsterer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, replace, and install vehicle seats, carpets, headliners, door panels, and interior trim.
• Cut, stitch, and fit leather, vinyl, fabric, and other upholstery materials.
• Repair damaged or worn vehicle seats and interior components.
• Install new seat covers, floor carpets, roof liners, and door coverings.
• Measure and prepare materials accurately to minimize waste.
• Operate sewing machines, cutting tools, upholstery tools, and workshop equipment safely.
• Dismantle and reassemble vehicle interior components without causing damage.
• Match colors, patterns, stitching, and materials according to customer requirements.
• Inspect completed work for high-quality finishing and proper fitting.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep the workshop clean and organized.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and manufacturer requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Upholsterer or in a similar role is required.
• Good knowledge of automotive interior materials and upholstery techniques is required.
• The candidate must be able to sew and use industrial sewing machines.
• Experience with leather, vinyl, fabric, foam, and carpets is required.
• Good hand skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read measurements are required.
• The candidate must be able to work from patterns or templates, independently and as part of a team.
• The candidate must be physically fit and able to perform workshop duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two to five years of automotive upholstery experience is preferred.
• Luxury vehicle and custom interior experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of vehicle interior dismantling and reassembly is preferred.
• UAE or GCC workshop experience is advantageous.

Pay

• Pay starts from AED 3,500 per month.

Workplace

• The work location is in person.
