The role supports environmental, health, and safety management for construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Establish, monitor, appraise, and coordinate an integrated EHS management system aligned with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Improve procedure manuals and conduct internal audits against the standards.
- Train engineers and workers on site and through HR-organized EHS programs.
- Identify hazards and assess risks for critical activities; ensure method statements incorporate findings.
- Prepare EHS and environmental management plans.
- Coordinate external EHS audits and third-party equipment inspections.
- Prepare emergency preparedness plans and conduct drills; facilitate the work permit system.
- Coordinate occupational health and welfare measures and prepare EHS contract conditions for subcontractors.
- Stop work when unsafe practices are observed and promote action on safety concerns.
- Conduct monthly project risk management audits and quarterly system audits; report performance status to project and IC heads.
