EHS SUPERVISOR

Role overview

Site EHS duties

• Prepare EHS documents, plans, emergency response plans and risk assessments; maintain EHS documentation.
• Attend client and project-team EHS meetings and report issues to head office.
• Provide EHS induction and training for workers and engineers; ensure weekly toolbox talks are delivered.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards and communicate high-risk areas to site engineers and clients or main contractors.
• Ensure safe work permits are obtained and facilitate implementation of the work permit system.
• Check required personal protective equipment and the safe condition of ladders and scaffolding.
• Monitor worker health, hygiene and welfare, including water, rest areas, lighting and ventilation.
• Maintain site housekeeping and stop work upon witnessing unsafe practices.
• Conduct job EHS analyses for high-risk work and ensure method statements incorporate findings.
• Investigate incidents with engineers, communicate findings, and provide first aid or arrange medical assistance when needed.

Systems, audits and reporting

• Establish, monitor and coordinate integrated health, safety and environmental management systems for construction projects.
• Apply management system standards identified as ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001; improve procedures and conduct internal audits.
• Prepare EHS and environmental management plans and emergency preparedness plans, and conduct emergency drills.
• Coordinate external EHS audits and third-party equipment inspections; coordinate occupational health and welfare measures.
• Prepare EHS contract conditions for subcontractors.
• Conduct project risk management audits monthly and system audits quarterly.
• Report EHS performance status to the project head and IC head.

Requirements

• ARAMCO-approved EHS Supervisor.
• Oil and gas experience background.
