Role overview

The E-Commerce Manager drives direct digital bookings, online-channel conversion, and the hotel’s online distribution footprint.

The role bridges digital marketing execution with yield strategy and aims to shift bookings toward direct web and mobile channels, lower acquisition costs, and optimize online revenue.

Luxury hotel e-commerce experience is a must; the role reports to the Director of Revenue Management.

Direct channel optimization

  • Manage and optimize the Brand.com website and direct booking engine to improve conversion rate and average order value.
  • Run A/B tests, UX enhancements, and landing-page strategies for packages, seasonal promotions, and upsells.
  • Audit site functionality, page speed, and mobile responsiveness to improve the booking journey.

Digital marketing execution

  • Allocate digital ad spend with Revenue Management based on booking pace, low-occupancy periods, and target markets.
  • Manage PPC/SEM, SEO, metasearch campaigns, and retargeting ads.
  • Coordinate CRM email automation for guest targeting, pre-arrival upselling, and post-stay retention.

OTA distribution

  • Audit and optimize listings across major OTAs and metasearch sites.
  • Verify OTA content, room-type displays, imagery, rate parity, and promotional participation with Revenue Management.
  • Use OTA merchandising tools, including preferred-partner status, sponsored listings, and visibility boosters, during low-demand periods.

Analytics and reporting

  • Report monthly digital performance, ROAS, acquisition cost per booking, web traffic, and channel-share metrics using GA4 and revenue systems.
  • Track direct-versus-OTA booking distribution and acquisition-cost savings.
  • Present actionable insights in weekly commercial meetings with Revenue Management and Sales/Marketing teams.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in hospitality e-commerce, digital marketing, or online distribution.
  • Luxury hotel e-commerce experience is a must.

Technical proficiency

  • Web analytics platforms, including Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager.
  • Central Reservation Systems, Property Management Systems, and Channel Managers.
  • Metasearch platforms and Google Ads dashboard management.
  • Content Management Systems and OTA extranets, including Expedia Partner Central and Booking.com Partner Hub.
