We are seeking an experienced
Drilling Expert (Upstream Ai)
to bridge traditional petroleum engineering expertise with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies.
The ideal candidate will help optimize drilling operations, reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT), improve safety, and drive digital transformation initiatives across upstream operations.
Key Responsibilities
ā Deploy AI/ML models into live drilling operations
ā Reduce NPT through predictive analytics and automated hazard detection
ā Structure and manage real-time drilling, mud logging, and telemetry data
ā Design intelligent workflows for drilling automation and downhole steering
ā Evaluate AI vendors, cloud platforms, and drilling technology solutions
ā Collaborate with drilling engineers, field teams, and data scientists
Required Skills
š¹ Strong expertise in Drilling Engineering
š¹ Well Control, Hydraulics, and Casing Design
š¹ Python or R programming
š¹ Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics
š¹ Experience with WITSML and real-time drilling data
š¹ TensorFlow or PyTorch
š¹ AWS or Microsoft Azure IoT platforms
š¹ Upstream Oil & Gas domain experience
Preferred Qualifications
ā AI/ML applications in drilling operations
ā Drilling Automation or Digital Oilfield experience
ā IWCF And IADC Well Control Certification
ā Experience working with global oil & gas operators or service companies
