Nalco Water seeks a Technical Sales Representative for revenue and profit growth in targeted accounts.
The role uses consultative selling, account leadership, customer relationship building, and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Generate and execute sales plans across existing and assigned competitive accounts to meet profit goals.
- Understand customer needs and recommend improvement and innovation plans.
- Build relationships with customer stakeholders, including plant and facility executives.
- Provide technical support, resolve customer challenges, and escalate when needed.
- Perform system analysis, interpret data, and provide written recommendations.
- Sell and support company technologies and innovations.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three years of technical sales or field sales support experience.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Preferred qualifications
- Engineering degree in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or a life sciences degree.
- Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.
- Working knowledge of OR operations, wet end chemistry, or pulp mill operations.
Territory and travel
- Territory-based position with overnight travel required.
- Training takes place in the field and at Nalco Water headquarters in Naperville, Illinois; company-arranged and paid travel is provided.
