Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance initiatives across higher education institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and approved national standards, oversees institutional and academic performance evaluation, promotes continuous improvement, and supports the implementation of best practices in governance and quality in alignment with the directives of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance academic and institutional quality assurance framework in line with best practices and approved standards.
- Oversee academic program accreditation processes and monitor their compliance with quality and accreditation requirements. with quality and accreditation requirements.
- Enhance the efficiency of the academic ecosystem by reducing duplication and overlap among academic programs.
- Monitor the implementation of governance principles and ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and standards.
- Track institutional and academic performance and monitor local and international ranking indicators.
- Support the quality development of academic faculty and elevate educational outcomes to contribute to achieving excellence and sustainability.
- Prepare studies, reports, and recommendations related to the quality of higher education to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Quality Assurance Management, Higher Education, or any related field.
Experience Required
- Minimum of
- 15 years
- of experience in the field of quality assurance in higher education, academic accreditation, or higher education management and Leadership.
Skills And Competencies
- Distinguished leadership and managerial skills.
- Strong capability in strategic planning and project management.
- Data analysis and professional report-writing skills.
- Effective communication and partnership-building skills.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage priorities efficiently.
