Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance initiatives across higher education institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and national quality standards, oversees institutional and academic performance evaluation, promotes continuous improvement, and supports the implementation of best practices in governance and quality in alignment with the strategic directions of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance academic and institutional quality assurance frameworks in line with approved standards and best practices.
  • Oversee academic program accreditation processes and ensure compliance with quality and accreditation requirements.
  • Improve the efficiency of the academic ecosystem by reducing duplication and overlap among academic programs.
  • Monitor governance practices and ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Track institutional and academic performance and monitor local and international ranking indicators.
  • Support the development of academic staff quality and enhance learning outcomes to achieve excellence and sustainability.
  • Prepare studies, reports, and recommendations related to higher education quality to support decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Quality Management, Higher Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance, academic accreditation, or higher education management.

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Ability to lead strategic planning and project management initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively manage priorities.
