Lead enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, analytics, and data platform transformation within a high-impact media and communications environment in Abu Dhabi.
This leadership role will be responsible for building and scaling modern data capabilities across audience intelligence, digital analytics, AI enablement, enterprise reporting, and data governance while partnering closely with executive leadership, technology, digital, editorial, and business teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with executive stakeholder management and experience leading large-scale data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the organization’s enterprise data strategy and roadmap
- Build scalable data architecture, governance, and analytics capabilities
- Lead modernization of data platforms, reporting ecosystems, and business intelligence environments
- Establish enterprise-wide KPIs, executive dashboards, and performance reporting frameworks
- Drive audience intelligence, digital analytics, customer insights, and data-driven decision-making
- Oversee data governance, quality, privacy, compliance, and security practices
- Partner with AI, Digital, IT, Editorial, Marketing, and Operations teams to enable advanced analytics and AI initiatives
- Lead implementation and optimization of cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses
- Manage enterprise reporting using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Build and mentor high-performing data and analytics teams
- Drive adoption of best practices in data engineering, visualization, master data management, and analytics governance
- Present strategic recommendations and insights to executive leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree is preferred
- 12–15+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Enterprise Data Management
- Proven leadership experience managing enterprise data transformation programs
- Strong experience with:
• Azure Data Platform
- Databricks
- Power BI
• Data Modeling & ETL Pipelines
- Experience in audience analytics, digital analytics, customer insights, or media analytics is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of AI enablement, data governance, and enterprise reporting
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within media, government, digital platforms, telecommunications, airlines, retail, or large enterprise environments is preferred
Preferred Skills
- GA4 and digital analytics expertise
- Social media analytics and audience intelligence
- SEO and web analytics understanding
- Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI frameworks
- Experience with enterprise KPI frameworks and executive reporting
- Familiarity with PDPL and data privacy regulations
