Role overview

Engineering and project delivery

• Lead cluster engineering and facilities operations and develop strategies aligned with hotel, brand, owner, and asset-value objectives.
• Lead project-to-operations transition, including commissioning, inspections, snagging, defect management, and operational handover.
• Participate in design reviews and technical workshops; validate OS&E, equipment, tools, spares, and procurement plans.
• Manage engineering pre-opening budgets and readiness activities within approved budgets and timelines.

Asset operations and leadership

• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire and life safety, vertical transportation, kitchen equipment, and utilities.
• Oversee CAPEX, asset lifecycle planning, refurbishment, and replacement programs; improve efficiency and optimize maintenance contracts.
• Champion sustainability, energy conservation, water management, and ESG initiatives; ensure regulatory, environmental, health and safety, and life-safety compliance.
• Establish emergency and business-continuity plans, develop engineering teams, and work with owners, project teams, consultants, contractors, and authorities.

Candidate requirements

• Proven engineering leadership in hotels, hospitality portfolios, mixed-use developments, or large-scale facilities.
• Significant hotel pre-opening experience, including handover, commissioning, snagging, defect management, and opening readiness.
• Experience with OS&E, procurement, spare-parts planning, engineering budgets, facilities management, maintenance, asset lifecycle, and capital planning.
• Commercial experience managing maintenance costs, service contracts, utilities, and CAPEX; experience leading sustainability and emergency-readiness programs.
• Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Hotel pre-opening and multi-property experience is advantageous.
