Role overview
Contribute to setting general objectives, policies, and operational plans.
Manage, plan, and organize subordinate organizational units in line with approved plans and programs.
Ensure technical and human resources are available for efficient daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Set departmental objectives, initiatives, operational plans, targets, performance indicators, and measurement mechanisms; review and present progress reports to senior management.
- Identify workforce and talent needs and recommend rewards, appointments, promotions, and transfers.
- Coordinate subordinate units, monitor and evaluate employee performance, identify training needs, and recommend and assess training.
- Maintain effective relationships with external partners, coordinate joint projects, and support effective internal communication across units.
- Provide subordinate units with the technologies and tools needed to carry out their work.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information security, computer engineering, management information systems, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience in the same or a related field.
- Professional certifications listed as examples include CISSP, CISA, and Security+.
