A leading international media and digital content organization is seeking an experienced

Digital Monetization Manager

to lead the strategy, optimization, and growth of its global digital revenue ecosystem.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven digital monetization expert who can bridge the worlds of advertising technology, commercial revenue, audience growth, and content operations to drive sustainable revenue growth across a complex, multi-platform media environment.

Digital Revenue Strategy & Growth

  • Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of digital revenue streams across web, mobile, video, OTT/CTV, social platforms, newsletters, and emerging digital products.
  • Identify and implement new monetization opportunities while maximizing existing revenue channels.
  • Develop revenue growth initiatives aligned with audience, content, and commercial objectives.

Programmatic Advertising & Yield Management

  • Optimize programmatic advertising performance across SSPs, DSPs, Header Bidding, and Ad Exchange environments.
  • Drive improvements in fill rates, CPMs, viewability, and overall advertising yield.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with key programmatic partners and advertising technology vendors.
  • Oversee Open Auction, Private Marketplace (PMP), and direct programmatic revenue strategies.

Revenue Diversification

  • Expand alternative revenue streams including content licensing, affiliate partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, newsletters, and emerging digital products.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven monetization opportunities and next-generation audience acquisition strategies.

Ad Technology & Platform Monetization

  • Provide strategic oversight of the advertising technology stack, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Support digital video monetization initiatives across OTT, CTV, social video, podcasts, and emerging distribution channels.
  • Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and industry best practices.

Data, Analytics & Commercial Insights

  • Develop executive-level reporting on revenue performance, audience monetization, yield optimization, and market trends.
  • Leverage first-party audience data to strengthen direct sales opportunities and programmatic performance.
  • Translate complex advertising technology and analytics into actionable business recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Editorial, Product, Technology, Audience Development, Commercial Sales, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Act as the key liaison between revenue operations and content strategy to ensure commercial growth aligns with audience and brand objectives.

Experience

  • Minimum
  • 12 years of experience
  • in digital advertising, revenue operations, digital monetization, media technology, or commercial digital strategy.
  • Proven success within a major media organization, digital publisher, broadcaster, streaming platform, technology company, or advertising ecosystem.
  • Experience operating across international markets with a strong understanding of digital advertising trends in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ad Manager (GAM), Header Bidding, Prebid, SSPs, DSPs, and digital advertising technologies.
  • Strong understanding of video advertising protocols, OTT/CTV monetization, and audience monetization strategies.
  • Experience working with data analytics, audience segmentation, and first-party data monetization initiatives.

Leadership & Communication

  • Commercially minded leader with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Able to influence stakeholders across technical, commercial, and editorial functions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
