Development Manager - Urban Core

Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all phases of urban core development projects, including planning, design, approvals, and construction management
• Perform detailed feasibility studies and market analyses to support project decision-making
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, engineers, and consultants to develop innovative urban solutions
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Engage with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and community representatives to facilitate project approvals and foster partnerships
• Ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental standards, and sustainability principles
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively
• Report regularly to senior management on project progress, risks, and opportunities
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to building a high-performance development team culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred
• 5 years of experience in residential apartment
• Preferred working in apartment buildings 10 to 20 levels
• Ideally development management experience in in mixed use projects
• Demonstrated success in managing complex development projects from inception to completion
• Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and sustainability best practices
• Excellent project management skills, including proficiency with project management software
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing diverse stakeholder relationships
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
• Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing team members
