Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural and mechanical design from concept through fabrication.
- Review and approve GA drawings, fabrication drawings, structural calculations, and BOMs.
- Manage detailing activities using
Tekla Structures
and
Strucad (Strumis)
- .
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and QA/QC to ensure designs are fabrication-ready.
- Manage design engineers, draftsmen, and detailers, allocating work across projects.
- Resolve design and fabrication issues to ensure smooth project execution.
- Drive design standardization, process improvements, and engineering best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and provide regular project updates to management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- **8–10 years**
- of experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication design, with
- 3–5 years
- in a leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with
Tekla Structures
and
Strucad (Strumis)
- is mandatory.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy engineering, industrial equipment, or airport equipment manufacturing preferred.
- Working knowledge of
AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks
is an advantage.
