Supports the Head of Risk Management in implementing and maintaining the organization’s risk management framework.
Covers enterprise and operational risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and oversight across departments.
Responsibilities
- Support oversight of the Risk Management function and implementation of the approved framework.
- Assess risks in existing and new business activities, services, products, processes, and operational changes.
- Maintain enterprise and departmental risk registers, assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Monitor KRIs, incidents, control weaknesses, and emerging risks; follow up on corrective actions and deadlines.
- Prepare reports for senior management, the Risk Committee, and stakeholders; coordinate with Operations, Compliance, AML, IT, and Internal Audit.
- Escalate significant incidents and control deficiencies; support risk policies, procedures, and methodologies.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant risk experience; financial institution experience is preferred.
- Experience in ERM, operational risk, assessments, incident management, and internal control frameworks.
- Understanding of financial services operations and regulatory requirements; prior coordination or supervision of risk activities.
- Independent judgment, appropriate escalation, and strong analytical, organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
