Oversee day-to-day operations of one department in a multi-department, big-box store.
Drive sales and department KPIs, maintain customer satisfaction, and improve departmental performance.
Operations and performance
- Manage daily department operations and compliance across stock management, sales, and customer service.
- Meet sales, conversion, customer satisfaction, and stock-loss-prevention KPIs; coordinate with store leadership.
- Track and report sales, stock, and staff productivity; adjust processes based on KPI analysis.
Customer experience and inventory
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and coordinate displays for seasons, promotions, and product launches.
- Support excellent customer service and loyalty-program promotion.
- Manage inventory, stock audits, replenishment, product rotation, and loss prevention; handle schedules and customer issues.
Safety and team development
- Maintain security and ensure staff and customer safety protocols are followed.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and train the department team to improve service, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.
Desired experience
- 3–4 years of retail experience; big-box or large-format retail experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership and KPI-management track record; team mentoring and development capability.
- Inventory management and visual merchandising experience are highly desirable.
