The analyst supports technical subject matter experts and senior leadership and works with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Analysis and reporting

  • Analyse fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy-efficiency performance to develop internal and external greenhouse-gas targets.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track progress against targets and support sustainability disclosures and regulatory submissions.
  • Support analysis and progress reporting for energy-efficiency programmes; conduct cost-benefit analysis and scenario modelling.
  • Coordinate with Performance Engineering on KPI development and reporting.

Project and market support

  • Prepare meeting materials, track action items, and contribute to group deliverables.
  • Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Facilitate information sharing across the Decarbonisation Working Group and its subgroups.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis, competitor benchmarking, and research on maritime fuels and technology markets.

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong quantitative and data-analysis capability, including interpreting technical datasets and drawing meaningful conclusions.
  • Experience with Excel and at least one additional analytical or visualisation tool; Power BI, Python, or a similar platform are examples.
  • A technical, engineering, or quantitative background, such as engineering, economics, naval architecture, marine engineering, or chemical engineering.
  • Approximately two to five years of relevant technical, engineering, marine, or related experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of fuel, emissions, energy efficiency, or technical performance is beneficial.

Working style

  • The posting seeks curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an evolving environment with changing or unclear priorities.
  • The role requires collaboration across functions and organisational levels and clear communication of findings.

Work arrangement

  • The role is permanent and full-time, with hybrid working that includes up to two days from home.
