Job Summary
We are seeking a fast-moving, detail-oriented **Day to Day Item Purchasing Associate** to manage our daily buying operations.
You will be responsible for sourcing inventory, processing daily purchase orders, and tracking shipments to ensure our business operations run without interruption.
The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills and can keep up with rapid daily stock changes.
Key Responsibilities
- **Process Orders**: Create and send out daily purchase orders (POs) based on stock requisitions.
- **Track Shipments**: Monitor daily arrivals and follow up with logistics providers to prevent stock delays.
- **Manage Inventory**: Track daily stock levels to avoid product shortages or overstocking.
- **Vendor Relations**: Source local suppliers, request competitive price quotes, and negotiate basic terms.
- **Inspect Receipts**: Verify incoming deliveries against purchase invoices for accurate quantity and quality.
- **Resolve Disputes**: Handle supplier issues regarding broken merchandise, shorted orders, or pricing errors.
- **Log Data**: Maintain neat, updated digital records of items, purchasing prices, and supplier profiles.
& Skills
- **Experience**: 1 to 3 years of experience in retail buying, warehouse purchasing, or supply chain procurement.
- **Education**: High school diploma required; degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- **Tech Skills**: Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking) and basic inventory management software.
- **Core Skills**: Fast data entry skills, basic math skills, and excellent negotiation abilities.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills to deal with diverse wholesale vendors.
- **Speed**: Ability to handle sudden inventory changes and work under daily time limits.
Experience
- EXPRENCE IN PURCHASING: 1 year (Required)
- KNOWLAGE OF WHOLE SELLERS: 1 year (Required)
