Job responsibilities
- Scope business requirements and priorities through understanding of banking portfolios.
- Explore source-system and data-mart fields to derive meaningful insights.
- Design and implement analytical solutions for business needs.
- Develop models and analytical frameworks using advanced algorithms and computational methods.
- Conduct case reviews and identify new variable ideas.
- Create controls to ensure the accuracy of data, analyses, strategies, and recommendations.
- Monitor model governance and model and variable tracking metrics.
- Improve existing processes and drive efficient outcomes.
- Build relationships with stakeholder teams and reach consensus.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team of Data Analysts.
- Connect analytical solutions to business outcomes.
- Deliver projects on time and manage and coach team members.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification with 2-5 years of experience.
- Experience and understanding of advanced analytical tools such as SAS, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience working in big data environments.
- Ability to understand banking portfolios and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Ability to lead and mentor Data Analysts.
Technical skills
- Data analysis, data science, advanced analytics, and analytical modeling.
- SAS, Python, and PySpark.
- Big data environments and advanced computational methods.
- Model governance and model or variable tracking metrics.
- Stakeholder partnership, team mentoring, and leadership.
