About the Role
Join the Data & Analytics team as a Data Scientist based in Mumbai or Bangalore.
Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to structured and unstructured data.
Develop predictive models, conduct text analytics, and support deployment of AI solutions.
NLP expertise and experience with large language models are highly valuable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models using Python or R and data science libraries including pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Apply machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques to solve business problems.
- Use NLP libraries including NLTK, SpaCy, and Gensim for topic modeling, sentiment analysis, and text classification.
- Work with transformer models such as BERT and GPT for advanced language understanding.
- Query and manage data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Create visualizations with Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau to communicate insights.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple data analysis projects focused on text analytics and natural language understanding.
- Build, validate, and deploy predictive models based on large text datasets.
- Clean and preprocess text data for machine learning tasks.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to support smooth model deployment and integration.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Science.
- A postgraduate degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Applied Statistics is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in data science and machine learning, ideally with NLP and text analytics exposure.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Deep understanding of machine learning and NLP techniques.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and model deployment.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
