Cyber Security Specialist

Role purpose

Security operations and delivery

• Implement and enforce company security policies and the cybersecurity monitoring framework.
• Manage baseline delivery, daily security tasks, change requests, incident reviews, security reporting, and KPI/KRI compliance.
• Collect cybersecurity risk and incident data; investigate incidents using evidence, system logs, and audit trails.
• Support IT and network teams, deliver internal security projects, and investigate escalated operational problems.
• Conduct daily security checks, vulnerability scans, and security testing; maintain operations documentation.
• Maintain compliance with group and industry standards, support risk-policy communication, and contribute to threat-detection analytics.
• Train new engineers in management of cyber-related platforms.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or another technical discipline.
• At least two years of operational experience in cybersecurity, IT, or networking.
• Knowledge of enterprise security technologies, infrastructure tiers, networking, telecom systems, and telecommunications principles.
• Experience or knowledge in Windows and Unix/Linux administration, scripting, and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity risks, threats, and relevant data-protection, information-security, and telecommunications regulations.
• Cloud knowledge (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are advantageous.

• Assess security-related issues from both business and information-security perspectives.
