About This Role
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks.
- Implement and manage security controls across network, systems, and cloud environments.
- Conduct threat analysis and incident response (investigation, containment, remediation).
- Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR where applicable).
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and access controls.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to secure infrastructure and applications.
- Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and reporting.
- Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- **Experience:**
- 4 to 9 years in cybersecurity / information security roles
- **Education:**
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Technical Skills
- Hands-on with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel)
- Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS
- Experience with vulnerability tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Understanding of operating systems (Linux & Windows security)
Certifications
- CISSP / CEH / CISM / CompTIA Security+
- Cloud certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer)
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle incidents under pressure
- Good communication & reporting skills
- Team collaboration and stakeholder management.
Bonus
- Experience in
- banking, fintech, or government sectors
- Hands-on in
- SOC, threat hunting, or incident response
- Knowledge of
- DevSecOps / automation / scripting (Python, PowerShell)
