Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Software Engineer (Backend / Systems)
to join our core team.
This role is focused on
building scalable, high-performance software systems
, with an emphasis on developing a next-generation network security platform.
The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer at heart, with experience in building backend systems, and an interest in applying those skills to networking and cybersecurity domains.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in backend or systems engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to delivery
- Experience owning services in production (design, deployment, monitoring)
- Interest in networking and cybersecurity domain
Core Software Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
- Build robust APIs and data pipelines for processing and analyzing network traffic and security events.
- Architect distributed systems that are performant, resilient, and maintainable.
Platform Integration (Networking & Security)
- Integrate backend services with firewall platforms (e.g., OPNsense) via REST APIs.
- Develop services that interact with networking and security components such as proxies, IDS/IPS, and traffic inspection engines.
- Translate networking and security requirements into scalable software components.
Software Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Java or Golang
- Experience building microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience with caching (e.g., Redis), databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and observability tools (e.g., ELK)
Domain Knowledge (Networking & Security)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, routing, and firewall behavior
- Exposure to traffic filtering, IDS/IPS, or secure web gateways
- Experience with tools such as OPNsense, Suricata, Snort, or Squid is a plus
