Cost Controller

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Cost Monitoring and Analysis:
• Monitor and analyze costs related to operations, procurement, inventory, and expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Track variances, trends, and key performance indicators to assess cost control measures and financial performance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to align with cost control objectives and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with department heads to establish budget targets, monitor budget performance, and provide financial insights.
• Inventory Management:
• Implement inventory control procedures, conduct regular inventory audits, and reconcile inventory records to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Optimize inventory levels, reduce wastage, and streamline procurement processes to control costs effectively.
• Vendor Management:
• Evaluate vendor contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement terms to negotiate favorable terms and pricing for goods and services.
• Monitor vendor performance, quality standards, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
• Cost Control Policies and Procedures:
• Develop and implement cost control policies, procedures, and internal controls to promote accountability, transparency, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Conduct regular reviews of cost control processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare cost reports, financial analyses, and variance explanations to communicate cost performance and trends to management.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on cost analysis to support decision-making and cost optimization strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with department heads, finance team members, and senior management to align cost control initiatives with overall business objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvement efforts to drive operational efficiency.
