Cost Control Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Forecast, control, and report project costs; analyze variances and expenditure trends and prepare completion reports.
• Provide forecasting guidance and perform overhead, contract-administration, and budget-management processes.
• Prepare monthly budget materials and presentations and support customer cost-versus-capital decisions.
• Prepare or review standard costs for motherboards, chassis, and server systems; improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee product costing for components, systems, and modules and coordinate automated cost systems and databases.
• Work with Sales to provide pricing for new and existing products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of related cost calculation or analysis system experience required.
• Three years of management experience and one year of international cost accounting or purchasing experience preferred.
• PC or server hardware experience and knowledge required.
• Experience coordinating with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics required.
• Strong communication, time management, prioritization, and cross-functional multitasking abilities.

Workplace

• Regular in-office attendance during standard working hours is required at the designated San Jose office.

Compensation

• Posted salary range is $78,000–$90,000 per year; offered pay depends on factors including location, education, skills, and experience.
• Bonus and equity compensation may also be available.
