Coordinator - Instructor Capability

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer instructor recruitment and onboarding from end to end.
• Assess regional instructor capacity and report to the Manager of Learning & Development to support engagement.
• Help upskill instructors and monitor ongoing professional development.
• Coordinate and support instructor events.
• Maintain accurate records in CFA's Learning Management System and provide additional user support and training.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Group and Brigade Training Coordinators and Assistant Chief Fire Officers.

About you and checks

• Strong organisational and customer service skills, and ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and multiple workflows and prepare high-quality correspondence and reports.
• Experience coordinating volunteer recruitment or understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Problem-solving ability, including supporting users with tools and processes.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems to maintain accurate records.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory environments.
• Valid driver’s licence required; regional travel, occasional evenings and weekends, and some overnight stays are required.
• Successful Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, Working Rights Check and valid Working with Children Check; at least two professional references required.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid work options are offered; role supports regional districts and requires travel within the regions.
• Occasional evening and weekend work and some overnight stays are required.
