Key Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Prepare food items for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Answer, report, and follow instructions from the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Clean down stations properly and return leftover ingredients to correct storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations (including safe food handling temperatures).
- Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- **Experience:** Proven experience working as a Cook, Line Cook, or Prep Cook (minimum 2 years preferred).
- **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- **Speed & Accuracy:** Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality.
- **Physical Stamina:** Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to [e.g., 40 lbs], and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- **Certifications:** Valid Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
- **Schedule:** Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
