ALEC Technologies is gathering expressions of interest for upcoming Contract Quantity Surveyor opportunities.

Your role

  • Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts; prepare, submit, and defend claims, variations, and extension-of-time submissions.
  • Assess and certify interim and final subcontractor payment applications; prepare monthly cost/value reconciliations and commercial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, FIDIC conditions, and client requirements; support commercial negotiations.
  • Identify contractual risks and advise on mitigation; maintain records of correspondence, agreements, and contract changes.
  • Work with commercial, MEP, and project stakeholders to resolve disputes and protect company interests.
  • Support project close-out, including final account agreements.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of MEP Quantity Surveying experience, including at least 2+ years focused on contract administration.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS systems, construction contracts (especially FIDIC), and claims preparation.
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and preparing commercial reports.
  • Proficiency in contract management tools and MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • BIM 360, Navisworks, and Power BI dashboard experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; detail-oriented, commercially astute, and proactive in problem-solving.
