Role Description

The Contract Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of contracts for engineering and construction projects.

The person in this role will draft, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and project objectives.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring contract performance, managing change orders and variations, tracking key milestones and deliverables, and identifying and mitigating contractual risks.

The Contract Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement, finance, and legal to resolve issues, support bids and proposals, and provide clear contractual guidance.

The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, preparing reports for leadership, and supporting claims management and dispute resolution in a timely, structured manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong contract management skills, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering complex engineering and construction contracts.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial terms, risk management, and claims or dispute resolution processes in large infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (project management, engineering, procurement, finance, legal) on project delivery and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain contractual issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., IACCM/WorldCC, RICS, PMP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in contract management tools and MS Office suite; familiarity with ERP or project management systems is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced project environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
  • Experience in large-scale engineering, construction, or energy projects, preferably within the Middle East region; fluency in English is required, and
