About This Role
Title: Application Security (AppSec) Consultant
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Contract: 6–12 months (with potential extension)
Overview
We are partnering with a Big 4 firm supporting digital transformation initiatives in the UAE. We are looking for an Application Security Consultant to support secure software development and application security practices across enterprise programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform application security assessments (SAST, DAST, SCA)
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in applications and codebases
- Conduct secure code reviews and support secure SDLC implementation
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for applications
- Work closely with development teams to improve secure coding practices
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in application security or DevSecOps
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Checkmarx, Snyk, Burp Suite, or Veracode
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
Additional preferences
- Certifications such as OSCP, GWAPT, CSSLP, or CEH
- Experience working in consulting or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to DevSecOps and cloud-native application architectures
